Named president in May 2013, Shari oversees every aspect of the Foundation’s operations, including day-to-day administration, donor and fund services, grantmaking, investments, and community leadership. She is the primary lead for the Community Foundation’s fund development efforts and works with staff and the board of directors to develop and implement strategic initiatives.

Prior to becoming president, Shari was executive director of the Warren YWCA, where she spearheaded a revitalization effort and launched a $2.1 million supportive housing project. During her tenure in real estate, Shari was a member of the Warren Area Board of Realtors and the Warren Area Multiple Listing Service Board, serving as president for both organizations. She spent 10 years on the National Board of the YWCA of the USA, chairing its National Public Policy Committee, serving as vice president of regional relations, and representing the YWCA USA at the YWCA World Council meeting.

Shari holds an MBA from Kent State University and an undergraduate degree from Bowling Green State University. Throughout her professional career and volunteer efforts, she has demonstrated a passion for serving others and making a difference in the Valley. Shari’s leadership has included serving on several boards, including the Trumbull Memorial Hospital Foundation, Upton Association, and Warren City Schools Board of Education. She was also a 2009 nominee for the Mahoning Valley Athena Award.
