YOUNGSTOWN/WARREN, Ohio – The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley is excited to announce the addition of three new members of its Board of Directors: Marvin Logan, Meghan Reed and Ted Stazak.
“Meghan, Marvin and Ted bring perspectives and insights that are invaluable as we expand the ways in how the Community Foundation goes about carrying out its mission,” says Shari Harrell, president of the Community Foundation. “Combined with their knowledge of Mahoning and Trumbull counties, we’re sure that their experiences will help us move beyond being primarily a grantmaking organization and into a role as an all-around supporter of local nonprofits.”
Logan is executive director of Oh Wow! Children’s Center for Science & Technology, a position he has held since October 2021. He also serves as a board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Summit, Stark and Medina Counties and Alpha Phi Alpha Homes. Logan is a committee member for several entities at Kent State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree before he earned his master’s in nonprofit administration at the University of Notre Dame.
Reed is director of the Trumbull County Historical Society and was the organization’s first full-time employee when she was hired to that position in late 2016. She currently serves as board president of the W.D. Packard Foundation, as a member of the capacity building advisory council for The Raymond John Wean Foundation and as a member of the historic preservation plan committee for Ohio’s Historic Preservation Office.
Stazak is a financial advisor at the Howland office of Edward Jones. A graduate of Youngstown State University, he holds certifications as a CPA, an accredited asset management specialist and certified financial planner. In the nonprofit sector, he is currently president of the Rotary Club of Warren and active member of the Youngstown Air Reserve Base Community Council. A former combat medic in the Army National Guard, Stazak also served as membership director for the National Veteran-Owned Business Association.
Logan, Reed and Stazak joined the Community Foundation board in January, replacing departing members Jim Baker, Karen Cohen and Bill Mullane. Baker served on the Community Foundation board for three years, while Cohen and Mullane were both members for six years.
