The Young Philanthropist Fund is welcoming proposals from nonprofit organizations seeking grants of up to $4,000 for initiatives in Mahoning and Trumbull counties.
Those interested in applying for a grant must submit an application by Friday, Jan. 1. (The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley’s online grant application center can be accessed here.)
The Young Philanthropist Fund is advised by the Mahoning Valley Young Professionals and awards grants annually through the proceeds of the annual 25 Under 35 Awards dinner. Past grants have supported comfort kits for foster children, entrepreneurship training for students and occupational therapy equipment for kids with autism.
The new round of grants will be announced in March. More information about the grant opportunity is available from Casey Krell at the Community Foundation, (330) 743-5555, or email@example.com.
