The Fund for Women and Girls-Special Update

Even with all of the craziness that is 2020, the shareholders of the Fund for Women and Girls have kept busy! Check out the below update on the Fund’s activities, and we hope to have you join us in this important work to support local women and girls!

1.) GEMS of the Valley

Unfortunately, we won’t be hosting the annual Gems event this year. We wish we could get together and celebrate the amazing women in our community, but with the current health concerns, we’ve decided to wait to get together in 2021.

    • Reminisce about previous events and check out past Gems honorees here!

2.) Women Warriors Gallery

Since we can’t get together for Gems this summer, take a look back at all of the awesome women leading our community during the coronavirus crisis. The below compilation features Women Warriors from weeks 1-10, all working to make the Mahoning Valley a better place during a very difficult time.

3.) Microfunding Event is Going Virtual

Join us for a virtual event on Wednesday, October 28 where we’ll hear from 3 local initiatives that are benefiting women and girls in the Valley and cast your vote on which organization will receive a $1,500 grant!

Looking to apply?

Does your organization or initiative benefit local women and girls or do you know one that does? Applications are due Monday, September 21 and can be accessed here: Microfunding Guidelines and Application.

Want a Say in Who Gets the Grant?

Not a shareholder in the Fund for Women and Girls yet? Or do you know someone else who would like to help shape the impact this fund has on the community? Use this donation link to make any size contribution today or send it to a friend.

All support received helps grow the fund and gives supporters a voice in how it is invested back into the community. Shareholders all get a vote in which organization receives the $1500 grant at the Virtual Microfunding Event!
