2 New Coordinator Positions Open

The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley welcomes resumes for two new positions:

  • Coordinator of Development and Donor Services
  • Coordinator of Supporting Organizations and Grant Making

Coordinator of Development and Donor Services

Job Summary:

Position is responsible for coordinating the implementation of the CFMV development plan and the CFMV communications strategy, and managing donor services.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Key Development Responsibilities Include:

  • Assisting in setting overall development strategy in consultation with the President and the Board of Directors
  • Coordinating implementation of the development work plan
  • Managing, implementing and monitoring strategies for developing agency endowment funds including consulting with agencies and communicating best practices
  • Assisting with the planning and implementation of Legacy Giving Programs
  • Managing individual giving and donor services including development events, donor research and donor meetings with the Board of Directors and President or one-on-one
  • Managing and maintaining donor database
  • Sustaining positive relationships with current donors and assisting with the identification, cultivation and solicitation of potential donors
  • Developing and implementing donor engagement and education programs in consultation with the Coordinator of Supporting Organizations and Grant Making

Coordinator of Supporting Organizations and Grant Making

Job Summary:

Position is responsible for managing of all aspects of grant making activities, grant monitoring and reporting as well as acting as the staff liaison and primary point of contact for the supporting organizations.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Key Supporting Organization Responsibilities Include:

  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with supporting organizations
  • Managing of all aspects of grant making, including:
  • Providing counsel to non-profit organizations in the preparation of grant requests
  • Preparing written summaries and recommendations as requested
  • Conducting site visits of non-profit organizations
  • Ensuring timely grant payments
  • Completing follow-up evaluation
  • Managing scholarship awards and distributions
  • Working with the Coordinator of Development and Donor Services to ensure fulfillment of donor philanthropic interest
  • Handling coordination of meetings and events for the supporting organizations
  • Keeping the CFMV President and supporting organizations’ Boards of Directors aware of community needs through contact with non-profits and involvement in other community activities
  • Assist President in providing strategic leadership to supporting organizations’ grant making
